The trains run alongside the Nile for much of the journey passing palm trees, feluccas sailing on the Nile, Camels and Fallahin working in the fields. You will see how the Nile makes a small strip pf green land either side of the river as it winds through the desert. Travel in daytime and you will see Egypt as it always has been, although an overnight sleeper service is available. *****
