Since the ancient time, the previous people have made fish sauce by
composting anchovies and sea salt in large wooden crates of **4m
high, 1.**3m in diameter, usually made of litsea wood in Phu Quoc
forest. After the period of ****8 months, by the method of pulling
out, the first drops of essence fish sauce came into being,
reflecting the shining red brown color and characteristic flavors
to be found nowhere else.
Coming from the traditional craft village, Thanh Ha Fishery and
Fish Sauce Processing Co., Ltd (formerly known as C3B fish sauce
processing establishment) has a history of hundreds of years, going
up from business production households of the Nguyen family since
***8. Being produced in Phu Quoc island district, Thanh Ha fish
sauce has so far complied with the traditional technological
process. When being picked up from the sea surface, the very fresh
anchovies are mixed with salt right at the fishing ground with the
ratio of 3 fish: 1 salt. Returning to the mainland, the fishers
continue the process of brewing salted fish mussels for ***8 months
in barrel houses (the local language used to name fish sauce
processing establishments). At the end, with know-how and
traditional experience, the most pure and finest fish sauce batches
were born with a distinctive characteristic of Thanh Ha. One of the
very few owners of private fishing fleet, in particular, Thanh Ha
always takes the initiative in the input materials and ensures the
most freshly selected anchovies, giving the most pure fish sauce by
the traditional method without adding any ingredients or any
unnatural part.
Although produced by traditional technology, Phu Quoc Thanh Ha fish
sauce is always ensured to comply with the strictest Food Safety
Standards in the world. In ***8, Thanh Ha was one of the first two
fish sauce production installations in the country licensed by the
Vietnamese Ministry of Fisheries to export to Europe with EU code
**8 DL **9 (now changed to NM**9). Since then, the production
process of Thanh Ha has always been tested and quality controlled
according to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critial Control Point) and QMP
(Quality Management Program). Thanh Ha fish sauce has been also
achieved the prestigious BRC (British Retailer Consortium)
certification from the British Retailers Association since

Up to now, Thanh Ha\'s production scale has reached **0 barrels
with an output of 2,**0,**0 liters per year, of which up to *0% of
the items are manufactured for export. Thanh Ha\'s products are
present at many fastidious markets in the world such as America,
Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, European Union ... In Vietnam,
Thanh Ha\'s products are being nation-widely sold at restaurants,
hotels and major supermarket systems such as BigC, Emart, Coopmart,
Lotte mart, Vinmart, Aeon, Fivimart, Satra Foods ...
