YOUTH for AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
INTRODUCTION
This is a community based organization aiming to promote agriculture, improve agricultural production and environment protection through youth engagement, skills and knowledge.
Ithas been foundedand will be built on youth researchers who are fresh graduates in University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. The project aim is to carry out intensive and high turnover production of a small area, while providing work and leadership experience for local youth.
This organization was thought to be established based on different governmental programs aiming to develop agricultural sector hence a general development to achieve its vision:

• EDPRS 2 in its Priority Area 2: Increasing the Productivity of Agriculture: The agricultural sector remains the sector with the greatest potential to reduce poverty in Rwanda and ensure that growth is inclusive in EDPRS and Rwandan agriculture will move from a largely subsistence to a commercialized base building on the sector€™s comparative advantage ¨
• Millennium Development Goals: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger (goal one)
• National Employment Program (Kora Wigire)
• Environment protection and
• Employment promotion for reducing unemployment rate

• Youth engagement in agriculture (both educated or not)
• Professionalism in agriculture
• Efficiency use of land
• Boost entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity
• Increase of agricultural production through new technologies
• Environment protection and amelioration
