Dense medium preparation is the most efficient way of gravity concentration.The main equipment cyclone which is widely applied characterized with small volume, no moving parts,large handling capacity,high efficiency of separation. The requirement on wear resistance of main parts of cyclone like guiding cylinder of feeding,cone and underflow is more and more higher. Meanwhile, the requirement on service life of equipment is more and more higher for reducing maintainance frequency and increasing profits, especially the abrasion of cyclone, elbow, pipeline etc. 
When cyclone is at work, the rotary motion of material generates great centrifugal force, the inwall of cyclone is worn at high speed. For dense material, the abrasion of inner is extremely worse under high impact by centrifugal force. One-piece alumina ceramic tube is used as wear resistant lining in cyclone for its high hardness, strength, abrasion resistance and economic practicality.
