Calcium Alginate Wound dressing

Structure & Composition:

Alginate dressing is a type of fibrous dressing made of **0% polymer material (alginate).

This alginate dressing is medical dressing with high absorption property.

Scope of Application:

Alginate dressing is applicable for treatment of skin wounds, especially the medium and severe exudative wounds, and assist in the control of wound bleeding, including:

1)      Treat the exudate and conduct local hemostasis for the exudative wounds

2)      Treat the wounds after the TST operation, PPH operation, anal fissure operation, perianal abscess operation and rectal perianal operation

3)      Treat the burn and scald wounds and chronic ulcer wounds (including bedsore, diabetic foot ulcer and venous ulceration of lower extremities)

4)      Treat the surgical incision and infected wounds

5)      Treat various refractory wounds including donor site wounds and trauma

Features:

Alginate dressing has following features:

1. Quickly and efficiently absorb the exudate over *0 times , thus generating a soft and moisturizing gel or fiber film on the wound surface.
2. Provide an ideal moist environment for wound healing in favor of the growth of tissues.
3. Ca2+ is released to promote the formation of prothrombin activators, thus giving play to the hemostasis function.
4. Protect nerve terminals, obstruct external stimuli and easy to remove, thus reducing the pain of the wound.
5. Fill and support the deep-seated wounds, and drain away the deep exudate from the lacunae.
6. Good biodegradability and compatibility, on-toxic, non-irritating, and non-allergenic.
