Performance and Characteristics
Non-toxic and healthy: Pipe is a green building material, and it’s free from poison, corrosion and scaling.
Anti-corrosion: As a kind of inert material, polyethylene is corrosion-resistant to variety of chemical media and electrochemicals except for a few strong oxidizers, thus no anticorrosive coating needed.
No leakage: Polyethylene pipe mainly adopts hot-melt and electrofusion connection, which achieves integration of the piping system. It has good resistance to water hammer pressure and effective resistance to underground movement and end load, which greatly improves safety and reliability of water supply and ratio of water utilization.
Small flow resistance: Absolute roughness coefficient of PE water supply pipe’s inner surface is less than 0.*1, which could effectively reduce the water consumption.
High toughness: PE pipe for gas supply is a material of high toughness and its elongation at break is generally over **0%. Also it has a remarkable capability to adapt to uneven settlement of the pipeline foundation. So, it is a kind of pipeline with excellent earthquake resistant performance.
Good flexibility: Because of its good flexibility, PE water supply pipe can be coiled and supplied in longer length, which saves a large number of fittings and increases the economic value of PE pipeline.
Long service life: PE pressure pipe can be used safely for more than *0 years.

Pipes and fittings should be stored in a well-ventilated warehouse or simple shed rather than in the open air, and kept away from direct sunlight. Attention should be paid to fire safety and the storage must be away from the heat source no less than 1 meter.
Pipes should be stacked layer-by-layer horizontally on the flat ground, avoid to bend and the stack height shall not exceed 2 meters.
In delivery, pipes and fittings should be handled carefully and avoid oil contamination. Besides, violent impact, touching with sharp objective, being thrower, rolled, dragged is prohibited。
Knocking pipes and fittings with hard objects is prohibited. Especially under low temperature, pipes must be cut in vertical direction and the incision should be clean and smooth.
Hot-melt connection should be operated strictly in accordance with the specified fusion deepness.
Hot-melt connection should be operated strictly in accordance with the specified time.
During hot-melt connection, pipes and fittings shall not exceed the maximum deviation angle of 5 degrees.
The minimum bending radius shall not be less than 8 times pipe diameter when pipe is bended. Heating and bending pipes with naked flame is prohibited.
The metal thread is designed in V-shape. It could be sealed by hemp or Teflon tapes in connection and should not be screwed too tight.
When two pipes intersect, bent pipes must be used.
PE water supply pipe should not be used as climbing and lifting frame.
After the pipeline is buried, the position and direction should be marked clearly.
Knocking pipes with sharp objects like metal nail, etc. is prohibited.
