Description

HS***0 is a thermostable Alpha-Amylase produced by a modified strain of Bacillus licheniformis. It is an endoamylase that hydrolyzes alpha*1, *-glucosidic bonds to quickly reduce the viscosity of gelatinized starch, producing soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides.

 HS***0 has excellent heat resistance, fits to desizing of textile fabrics such as cotton, silk, polyvinyl alcohol, rayon fiber, synthetic blended and yarn-dyed poplin.

Product Characteristics

Effect of pH

HS***0 is active over a wide pH range, depending on the application conditions. The optimal pH is 6.0~7.5. The stable pH range is 5.0~*0.0 at *5°C(*7°F).

Effect of Temperature

Optimum temperature of HS***0 ranges from *5 to **0º C.

Concentration of Calcium

HS***0 requires a very low calcium concentration. Addition of *0 to *0 ppm (DSB) of calcium is sufficient to ensure enzyme stability.

Inhibitors

Copper, titanium, and cobalt ions are moderate inhibitors for HS***0 whereas aluminum, lead and zinc ions act as strong inhibitors.
