Octagonal stainless steel ring joint gaskets

Ring joint Gaskets are machined from variety types of forged solid metal such as soft iron, ANSI**4, ANSI**6, ANSI**1 metal or other alloy metal etc. The hardness of the ring should always be ****0HB less than the Flanges hardness to prevent flange deformation. Dimension of standard ring joint gaskets and grooves are covering ASME B*6.*0 and API 6A, API *7D and ASME B*6.5/B*6.*0. It main including the following range:

BKG**0A R type Oval Ring Joint Gasket
Ring joint gasket with oval cross section is initially developed for high temperature and pressure applications. It is still used in the old type round bottom groove today

BKG**0B R type Octagonal Ring Joint Gasket
Ring joint gasket with Octagonal cross section is prefered by morden grooved flanges and has a higher sealing efficiency than oval types.

BKG**0C RX Ring Joint Gasket
RX is used at pressures up to *5, **0 psi (**3 MPa). It is adhered to API 6A and interchangeable with standard Octagonal rings, it can take advantage of container fluid pressure well to effect a seal

BKG**0D BX Ring Joint Gasket
All BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure which may be trapped in the grooves, it is only used in API 6BX flanges. BX is used at pressures up to *5, **0 psi

They are used to stand high pressure and temperatures and they are employed where corrosive agents are present. These gaskets are designed in oval/octagonal shapes confirming to R, Bx and Rx series of API std 6A
