Their distribution in the territory of the Republic is uneven, the highest density achieved in the belt stretching from Bardejov and Prešov through Poprad basin, Liptov Turiec Strážovské hills to Trencin. Another area with a high density of sources is Hron valley from the source Elected and western part of the Slovak Ore Mountains. Relatively less strands occurs in the East and the Danube Lowland. While mineral water in the mountain and foothill areas of the earth's surface receives natural seeps in lowland areas dominated by hydro drilling.
