The hybrid-graft polymer of TBA monomer AP***1 solid has excellent curl retention even in high humidity. It is an ideal thickener and can be formulated over a wide range of volatile organic component content. A polymer containing TBA monomer AP***1 solid is used as a retention aid in paper industry. TBA based retention aid improves the flocculating tendency of pulp fibers, contaminants and additives to inhibit loss during drainage through proper machine wires or screens.
