The PyroCouple Series is a range ofhigh quality, low cost, compact sensorswhich measure the temperature ofinaccessible or moving objects andmaterials. They measure temperaturesfrom **0°C to **0°C, accurately andconsistently, with an outstandingresponse time of **0 ms.PyroCouple sensors are available aseither two-wire or four-wire units.Two-wire PyroCouple sensors transmitthe target temperature as a ***0 mAoutput and offer a simple solutionfor most non-contact temperaturemeasurement applications.Four-wire PyroCouple sensors transmitthe target temperature as a ***0 mVor thermocouple output (type J, K or T)plus the internal sensor temperature asa ***0 mA output. This second outputcan be used to ensure that the sensoris being operated within the correctambient temperature limits and preventdamage caused by overheating orovercooling. It can also be used to givean approximate indication of the airtemperature surrounding the sensor.

All PyroCouple sensors are fitted withprecision Germanium lenses for accurateoptics. Model PC*1 has 2:1 optics makingit suitable for most applications where thesensor can be mounted close to the target.Model PC**1 is designed for small ordistant targets and has an optical resolutionof *5:1. Model PC**1 is designed for verysmall or distant targets and has an opticalresolution of *0:1. Model PCCF is designedfor targets as small as ø5mm at a distanceof **0mm from the sensor.
