Terminalia has been evaluated to a limited extent for its cardiovascular properties and for its role in cancer therapy. Hepatoprotective, cardiovascular, antidiabetes, cholesterol-reducing, antimicrobial, and antioxidant effects have been described.
Practical Uses:

1. Terminalia bellerica is an herb of triphala. its is laxative in nature and used in the purgation therapy
2. Fruit is anti-bacterial in nature and is used to fight against various infections.
3. It is rejuvenating in nature and is very beneficial for hair growth.
4. Its is used in hoarseness of voice, asthma, cough and common cold. is relieves blocked phelgm and bleeding in sputum.
5. Seed oil of paste of the fruit is applied to the swallon parts to get relief from inflammation. it is best used in rheumatism.
6. Seed oil of this herb is also beneficial for skin disorders and premature graying of hair. It also boost hair growth and imparts black color in hair.
7. Fruit paste is applied on eyelid to cure conjuctivitis and is also beneficial for various eye disorder such as myopia, corneal opacity and cataract.
8. It also helps to cure loss of appetite, thirst, bloating, flatulence, piles and various worm infestation. 
9. It is beneficial in blood pressure and helps in lowering cholesterol levels.
